While my Pitt alumnus of a husband may hate me for this one, this Penn State engagement session was just too cute to pass up! For their pre-wedding photo session, Rebecca and Patrick went back to where the university that brought them together. It was the school’s annual Dance Marathon where they first met, so PSU will always hold a special place in their hearts. They made the drive to Happy Valley with Amber Marie Photography and hit up all of their old stomping grounds. The campus’s iconic Old Main building makes an appearance, as does Beaver Stadium, where the couple donned matching football jerseys. Whether or not you’re a Penn State fan, you have to admit – these Penn State engagement photos are a total A+!
About the Couple
We met while attending Penn State. We were volunteering for the Penn State Dance Marathon and happened to be on the same committee. We have been together for almost six years and each day gets better and better!
We got engaged on February 23, 2018. It was a typical Friday night walking from the North Shore to downtown. As soon as we got on the Rachel Carson Bridge, he started walking a bit slower, and then eventually stopped. Before I had a chance to be confused, he was down on his knee!
About the Session
We really wanted to incorporate Penn State since that is where we met. We were so excited when Amber said she would travel there for our engagement session. We chose the beautiful Arboretum at Penn State for the first location. Amber was amazing helping us pose, laugh, and feel totally comfortable. We then took some photos in front of Beaver Stadium and finally at Old Main. This final location holds a special place in our hearts because it is truly the center of Penn State’s campus and the most well-known building in the area. We had such a wonderful evening and are in love with our Penn State engagement photos!
