This past year was absolutely chock full of some of the most incredible Pittsburgh engagement sessions we’ve ever seen! From iconic downtown spots to unique locales, these couples really thought outside the box. We went back through our engagement session features from 2019 and rounded up all of our favorites. If you’re looking for a little inspiration for your own engagement photos, today is your lucky day!
Buckle up and get ready to take a ride with this crazy good engagement shoot from Shelby Heisler Photography. Gabby and Seth channeled their inner children and had a blast taking in the rides, games, and food of the Washington County Fair. If only all engagement photos could be this fun!!!
What do you get when you cross an adorable couple with a cotton candy sky over downtown Pittsburgh? These images from Krystal Healy Photography. We just can’t get over the color and the gorgeous lighting of these photos. Hold onto your hats because this shoot is about to blow your mind!
I scream, you scream, we all scream…for these tasty pics taken at Millie’s by Abbie Tyler Photography! Alexi and Brian hit up the ice scream shop for a few scoops before taking in the rest of their neighborhood. The results are so sweet that we’re almost getting a toothache!
An engagement session that gives back AND features cute dogs? Say no more. Shannon and Ryan allowed some of the most tenured dogs at Humane Animal Rescue to tag along their shoot with Dawn Derbyshire Photography in an effort to raise awareness about dog adoption. If that isn’t just the best thing ever, we don’t know what is.
We might have just showcased this fresh feature from Lauren Renee Photography but that doesn’t mean we can’t take another look! The out-of-the-box location for Emily and Matthew’s pre-wedding pics is just the sweetest (see what we did there?) and that sunset glow is to die for. Even if you saw these images on our website a few weeks ago, we’d encourage you to go ahead and take another bite out of them 😉
It doesn’t get much more Pittsburgh than this! Alison and James took to one of the most well-known steel mills in the area for photos that are the perfect mix of unique and carefree. Kaitlin Powell Photography captured the pair giggling, flirting, and just generally being cute in the industrial, gritty environment our city does so well.
Sandrachile dropped the engagement photo mic with this out-of-this-world session. Amber and Stephen weren’t afraid to get a little wet and the results were simply stunning. The gorgeous light of the sunset cast over the couple is one part intimate and one part sexy, but all parts exactly what good engagement photos should be.
Our city is full of such cool nooks and crannies and these images from Oakwood Photo + Video are photographic proof. Rachel and Brandon explored Lawrenceville and downtown, seeking out the most jaw-dropping backdrops. Boy, did they deliver! These photos are so good that there is no way we can pick a favorite!
We’re ending this round up with some light that is so delicious, we wouldn’t blame you if you started drooling on your screen. Brooke and Shawn booked one of J. Mathewson Photography’s signature sunset sessions and we’re pretty sure they’ll never regret it. “Golden hour” gets a whole new meaning because of these photos. Make sure you have your shades handy!
