I’ve been loving on navy blue a lot recently. It wasn’t until I thought to pair it with a deep shade of purple that I got all kinds of pretty overload. This navy blue and plum wedding inspiration will hopefully have you feeling the same way. While dark blue serves as a neutral, plum gives the combo a little extra oomph. Both colors are warm, rich, and dramatic, and can be styled to fit a variety of wedding day looks. Imagine your gents in navy blue suits (very hip right now!) and your girls in plum dresses. Or give the guys a more classic look with gray tuxes and allow the navy/plum combo to come alive in their ties and other accessories. Your bridesmaids could then don navy dresses while carrying dark purple florals. Think dahlias and calla lilies in shades of plum, and blue thistle for the other half of this palette. While navy and plum is a gorgeous mix, it can edge on becoming a bit too dark. That’s why I say throw in another shade. Use neutrals like ivory or taupe to lighten things up or shades of chartreuse green or pink for pops of bright. Any way you style it, navy and plum is a winning combination!
