If there is one thing that could possibly make a Mt. Washington engagement session even better, it would be a gorgeous sunrise. As the sky turned golden over the city, Tanya and Cray celebrated their love for one another at one of the overlooks. Kristen Vota Photography was there to capture all of the romance yet playfulness between this pair. They say the early bird gets the worm and the 6:45 a.m. start time of this photo session was definitely worth getting out of bed for. Start your morning off right with these images that are sure to brighten your day right up!
About the Couple
We met our first year of college at Point Park University in 2008. We used to pass each other a lot without saying anything to one another, just exchanging shy smiles. One day, I found out Cray lived one floor above mine. I went to introduce myself and after that we became good friends.
We got engaged on Thanksgiving Day 2018 in New Hampshire, MA at a family resort on a hilltop balcony that overlooked the mountains. It was so beautiful and romantic. It was the same place Cray asked me for the very first time if I wanted to date him, so it was a significant place to propose.
About the Session
It was definitely worth the early alarm! It was 6:45 a.m. on a lovely mid-September morning at a Mt. Washington Observation Deck. The sun rose on the most perfect day – not a cloud in the sky with a beautiful city skyline. Our photographer captured the most amazing moments throughout our session. We couldn’t have chosen a better location for our engagement photos.
As we were trying to figure out where we wanted to take our engagement photos, we saw this photo online of a sunrise engagement session and immediately knew that that’s what we wanted. We thought sunrise represents a new day and new beginnings. Not often do you see couples out and about early in the morning in the middle of September taking photos while the sun is slowly peeking through the city skyline. We thought this would be an amazing time for us. We knew we wanted a city skyline session. What better place for this then Mt. Washington! It’s one of our favorite places to go together. When we were in college, it was our go to place. We also knew there wouldn’t be as many people there early in the morning.
