A contemporary mix of sage green, gray, white, and black blend marvelously together in this wedding at the Grayson House. While moody and muted, this color palette provided just enough of a subtle contrast to the white-walled Pittsburgh wedding venue. The result was modern, stylish, and most definitely worthy of showing off. Exhale Events oversaw all the details, which included farm tables, cross-back wooden chairs, and gold beaded chargers from All Occasions Party Rental. An array of tablescapes, linens, and centerpieces added visual interest while crystal candle holders added a delicate touch of glamour. If the beauty of this celebration isn’t enough to get you, that bow on the back of Kylie’s Essense of Australia wedding dress from Bridal Beginning sure will. About the Couple
We met in the spring of 2013 at West Virginia University. Our friends set us up as dates to a spring formal. With Ethan graduating a few weeks later and me still having another semester, neither of us had any intention of it being more than a casual date. He moved home after graduation, but came to visit me every weekend that summer. Eventually, we decided even with the distance, we would make it work. What we thought would be one date turned into a lifetime.
Like any good engagement story, I didn’t make popping the question easy on Ethan. We went for dinner and drinks in the city. He wanted to make several scenic stops throughout the evening, to which I kept saying, “We can do that another time.” After many hours of persistence, I finally gave into a picture on the Clemente Bridge. Pitch black with only the bridge lights and us, he got down on one knee.
About the Wedding
The inside of the barn was the perfect compliment of neutrals with stunning grey linens and gold overlays combined with a mixed layout of farm tables. The tablescapes consisted of gold glass chargers and a mixture of white flowers with gold stands or crystal candle holders and green floral runners down the beautiful farm tables. In the back, a beautiful flower wall staged the sweetheart table.
Favorite Moment
It is so hard to pick one favorite moment from such an amazing day. What truly made it special for us was having all our friends and family together. They’ve given us so much support over the years and it was a time to reflect and celebrate how fortunate we’ve been.
