From the moment Jessica and Michael stepped into The Atrium, they knew it was the perfect venue for their wedding. The space was everything they wanted – modern, minimalist, and effortless. Guests moved seamlessly from the greenhouse ceremony to the reception, all while Iris Marie Photography captured the day, which felt as light and airy as a dream. The black-and-white theme set the stage, enhanced by Events by Jessica Leigh who designed simple florals in ivories and greenery with subtle pops of deep red and burgundy roses that added just the right amount of drama. Jessica’s gown, found at One White Lane Bridal Gallery, included ethereal bishop sleeves and delicate tulle and lace applique. For dessert, the couple shared a mini wedding cake from Le Cupcake Shoppe, while Deitz Treatz provided guests with custom cookies, each one iced to perfection with their wedding day details. Jessica and Michael posed for photos in front of The Atrium’s marquee, which proudly congratulated them by name.

About the Couple
Jessica and Michael first met at Tad’s on the Southside. They were with separate groups of friends, but in true dive bar fashion, the space was small enough that their groups started mingling. Michael offered to buy Jessica a drink, and she quickly clarified that she didn’t like beer and wanted to avoid anything grape-flavored. Naturally, Michael returned with a beer and a grape-flavored shot. Despite the playful interaction, Michael left with his friends that night. Jessica figured, “I never thought I would see him again.” But sure enough, he texted her the next morning, and from that day forward they never stopped talking.
Twelve years later, they were engaged during a family vacation to North Carolina. Michael proposed on the beach, with the waves crashing nearby and Jessica’s mother by her side.

About the Wedding
From the couple…
The wedding was so much fun! What we loved most about The Atrium was that everything was in one place and our coordinator was amazing. We wanted the day to be stress-free and for everyone to enjoy themselves. We focused on great music and good food and drinks. We stuck to what we loved the most and tried not to overthink the details. Our colors were classic black and white, with pops of gold and greenery; we loved the look for any time of the year. The greenhouse during the evening was breathtaking.

Favorite Moment
Our favorite moment of the day was the first look. It was intimate, but we laughed a lot, and it was so nice to be able to enjoy that moment together while also enjoying our favorite drinks: Michael’s was Iron City lager, and Jessica’s was Tito’s with water and lemon.
