Once upon a time in a land far, far away, there was this incredibly dreamy wedding at The Grand Estate at Hidden Acres. Wanting a romantic and timeless celebration, Bri and Anthony chose this luxurious Pittsburgh wedding venue to host their nuptials. In a blooming garden surrounded by trees and flowers, the pair said “I do” outside of a charming gazebo adorned with fresh flowers and white draping. Afterwards, they partied with family and friends in a tent decked in gold, white, and greenery. While the details – which were expertly overseen by Mack & Main – were a mix of classic and chic, the bride and groom made sure they were personal too, paying homage to the fur babies in both the signature drinks and the cake topper crafted by Tasty Bakery. Even the wedding party looked like something out of a dream with the bridesmaids in white and Bri in a floral patterned Milla Nova gown from Bridal Beginning. There was no one better suited to capture this fantasy-come-to-life than Dawn Derbyshire Photography and we’re willing to bet that they lived happily ever after!
About the Couple
Anth and I always “knew about” one another. We lived five minutes from each other in small towns. He and my sister were good friends before we started talking. He also is best friends with my best friend. She’s the one that actually got us together. We would both talk about one another to her and eventually she got fed up that we weren’t doing anything about it. She ended up putting all three of us in a group text to get us to talk to each other and the rest is history.
We got engaged in November 2017. Every year, we take Christmas pictures with our dogs to send out as Christmas cards. After we finished our pictures, Anth said he had an early Christmas gift for me. I thought it was a cat. I had my eyes closed and he told me to open them. He was down on one knee with a chalkboard that said “Marry Me” with the ring in his hand. I about DIED! It was the easiest question of my life.
About the Wedding
Our wedding look was romantic and classy. The colors were white, gold, and a ton of greenery. All of our flowers were white with greenery. My inspiration was to create a classic, modern, fairytale wedding, but something that still reflected us as a couple. I love greenery, so I knew that had to be incorporated everywhere throughout our wedding.
Our dogs are our world, so we knew we wanted to involve them in our special day somehow even if they could not be there with us. We had our signature drinks named after them – “The Faith” and “The Roman”. They were a HIT! We also had our cake topper made into our dogs with fondant by the amazing Tasty Bakery. My bridesmaids all wore white. It was something unique and not something you see every day.
Favorite Moment
Every second of that entire day was so amazing. My favorite moment of the day would have to be seeing Anth for the very first time at the end of the aisle. It gave me all of the feels. Having my mom walk me down the aisle also meant the world to me. She’s my best friend. When we walked into the reception together as a married couple with every single person we love, all in one room, is a feeling that goes above all feelings. It was the most magical, warm, loving moment of my life.
