Sparkling and sophisticated, Kristen and Jason’s wedding at The LeMont might not be what you expect of a winter soiree…but that’s also what makes it as dreamy as it is. This pair chose an unexpected color palette of white, ivory, mauve, and dusty blue for their January celebration and they sought to create a formal affair that oozed winter beauty. The wow-worthy details started with Kristen’s Allison Webb wedding dress from Bridal Beginning. With a bodice completely encrusted with pearls and crystals, it set the tone for an evening full of jaw-dropping elements. Next came a breathtaking ceremony in the Carnegie Museum of Art’s Hall of Sculpture, where Kristen and Jason exchanged vows beneath a gorgeous arch of fresh hydrangeas, roses, dusty miller, and greenery arranged by The Blue Daisy Floral Designs. The reception space boasted unparalleled views of the Pittsburgh skyline, as well as elegant details overseen by Poppy Events. Keep your eyes peeled for frosted acrylic table numbers, crystal clear charger plates, and a custom branded seating chart, both from All Occasions Party Rental, and an ice sculpture bearing the couple’s new initial. If the beauty of this day isn’t enough to sweep you off your feet, those night time portraits from Leeann Marie Photography will surely do the trick. This is a good one.
About the Couple
We met in Happy Valley the summer of 2010. We both went to Penn State University and met through a mutual friend. We became an official couple on January 3, 2011.
Being busy with our business and trying to grow it, we did not have much time for vacations or travel. Luckily, Pittsburgh has three rivers so we decided to buy a boat and spend all of the warmer weather nights and weekends on the boat. On June 4, 2019 while watching the sun set on the Allegheny River, Jason got down on one knee and proposed!
About the Wedding
Our wedding theme was winter gala. Everyone wore formal attire. Our colors were a mix of white, cream, dusty blue, mauve, and winter greenery. We had an ice sculpture to tie in the winter and it snowed that day, which made everything look beautiful and feel extra special.
Favorite Moment
Our favorite moment was seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle. We did not do a first look so seeing each other in that moment walking down the aisle with the music and flowers was very special. It was special to have the moment in front of our family and friends but at the same time it felt like a moment just between us.
