It’s ironic that this killer downtown Pittsburgh engagement session includes two non-native Pittsburgers. Scott is from Erie while Jessica hails from Philly, but the Steel City is where their love is centered. They wanted to showcase the place they now call home for their engagement pictures. As the sun went down under a cotton candy colored sky, the pair took in some of the most famous Pittsburgh sites – the Roberto Clemente Bridge, the Cultural District, the North Shore, and of course, the ironic skyline. Krystal Healy Photography created some kind of magic with photos that are vibrant, cosmopolitan, and flirty. The colors are divine and this couple couldn’t possibly be any cuter. Plus, our city looks damn fine. Enjoy this session that has become a fast favorite of ours!
About the Couple
Scott and I met in 2009 as freshmen in college, while I was on a weekend trip visiting friends at Pitt. Scott actually told his friend that he knew he would marry me that first night we met. We started dating and I ended up transferring to Pitt for nursing school in 2010 and we’ve been together all through college, long distance, and back together in Pittsburgh now.
Scott proposed to me in February 2017 in our apartment when I came home from work one night. Then, the next day he surprised me again with a helicopter ride all over Pittsburgh.
About the Session
We’re both not Pittsburgh natives; Scott being from Erie and I am from the Philadelphia area. But our relationship has centered around Pittsburgh for the past eight years and it holds such a special place in our hearts. We live here now and we love it as “our city” and wanted our engagement photos to encompass just that.
