Brianna and Sean’s wedding at the Pittsburgh Field Club was one of elegance with contemporary touches. A bright color palette of magenta, royal blue, purple, and other rich shades gave a pretty pop to the picturesque country club Pittsburgh wedding venue. The bridesmaids wore different jewel-toned dresses that complimented vibrant bouquets of amaranthus, thistle, sweet, pea, dahlias, and ranunculus from Bloom Brigade. The bride donned a deep V-neck Elysee Bridal dress at Bridal Beginning with intricate lace and delicate beading throughout. During a gorgeous outdoor ceremony overlooking the greens, the couple read their vows from vow books from Blush Paper Co. and exchanged rings from Henne Jewelers. Then it was off to their classic ballroom reception. Brianna put her creative skills to the test and DIY’ed most of the decor using her Cricut! Keep your eyes peeled for her mirror welcome sign, pressed flower table numbers, and a bar sign featuring signature drinks named after the couple’s cats. Once again, the floral arrangements brightened up the timeless reception space and added color to tables of white china, crisp linens, and, gold accents. Thanks to entertainment from Mike Medved Weddings, Brianna and Sean and their guests danced the night away on the Field Club’s unique herringbone tile dance floor. The rainbow-hued celebration is a whole vibe and Dawn Derbyshire Photography captured every last picture perfect detail.

About the Couple
Briana and Sean actually met on Tinder in 2014. They both only had the app for a week before deleting it off their phones after their first date, which was at the Allegheny Wine Mixer in Lawrenceville, followed by some impromptu bowling at Arsenal Lanes. Sean suavely made a bet – if he got a strike on his last roll, Briana owed him a kiss goodnight. By some miracle, Sean got the strike and the rest is history!
Their engagement was very intimate and low key. Briana and Sean had gone ring shopping at Henne Jewelers about a year prior. Briana had fallen in love with a Mark Patterson platinum and rose gold solitaire ring. About a year later, Briana came home from clinical. Sean offered to make them a nice dinner and Briana turned him down, saying that there were leftovers in the fridge that were going to go bad. Briana also mentioned that she wanted to go get Millie’s ice cream. So, when Sean started telling Briana how much he loved her an hour later, Briana thought he was offering to go get them Millie’s. But as it turns out, he was actually proposing! Briana was shocked and did not see it coming at all. It was perfectly intimate, just the two of them in their apartment with their two cats on a random Tuesday evening.

About the Wedding
The wedding palette was vibrant jewel tones with navy blue, purple, gold, deep red, and emerald green. The bridesmaids all wore a dress of their choosing that fit into that color scheme. Briana wanted all of her bridesmaids to feel comfortable and, as they were all different shapes and sizes, one dress for them all wasn’t going to work. Multi-colored dresses added vibrancy to the wedding photos. The florals were also a vibrant jewel tones. The ceremony took place outside on the patio overlooking the golf course on a beautiful September day, followed by dinner in the ballroom. Dancing took place on the newly renovated porch, which features beautiful herringbone tile and gorgeous nature-inspired chandeliers.

Favorite Moment
From the photographer…
The first look in the woods down the hill from the Field Club. The bride and groom read their written vows to each other during this time, which made it very intimate and special. It was very important to the two of them for their vows to feel personal, which is why they didn’t want to do them in front of everyone at the ceremony. It was the perfect moment for the bride and groom to have time together alone before joining with their family and friends to celebrate and dance the night away! An added bonus was that the lighting was amazing and allowed for some gorgeous photos!
