Decked out in vibrant florals and adorned with charming details, this Pittsburgh wedding inspired styled shoot featured Blanket and Board‘s newest addition – a stunning double decker bus. Transforming the heart of the Schenley Park Overlook into a playground of modern elegance, this talented team of Pittsburgh wedding vendors rounded up by Wildly Loved created a playful, youthful, and super fun design. The doors of the double decker bus were framed by a stunning floral arch created by Confleurtti. Aycho Melange contributed to the floral extravaganza with a display of mouthwatering macarons that were sat near the entrance of the bus. On-board, even the smallest of spaces were filled with the grandest of detail. From the delightful hairpin sweetheart table on the rooftop, featuring metal chairs from All Occasions Party Rental, to the carefully curated pastel linen napkins from Lendable Linens, and gold-rimmed plates with geometric detailing, every element was meticulously chosen to create a fun-loving atmosphere. Outdoors, Vintage Alley Rentals curated a cozy lounge area featuring a velvet blue settee and bistro lights from Fireside Events. The attire struck the perfect balance between elegance and playfulness, with the model bride donning a floor-length floral gown from Luxe Redux Bridal paired with red Luna Selene pumps and the groom opting for a stylish yet casual light-colored suit and collared shirt sans tie. Rings from Henne Jewelers added the finishing touch to the ensemble that looked stunning along with the entire aesthetic. All of the well thought out details were documented by Rachel Rowland Photography and K+M Photo and Films. If you’re a couple seeking an engagement party or wedding celebration that breaks free from tradition, this cool and innovative concept is sure to inspire.

About the Shoot
Looking for something completely unique to celebrate your engagement or that next big milestone in your life? Well, we urge you to book Blanket and Board’s newly refurbished double decker bus, complete with beautiful views of your choosing! Wildly Loved’s Jenna Shuknecht was inspired by the uniqueness of the bus itself and, of course, the city of Pittsburgh. Just think – how cool would it be to plan a beautiful, intimate celebration in the heart of Pittsburgh at the Schenley Park Overlook and have your venue roll up to you, serve amazing treats to your guests, AND set the atmosphere for a beautiful, fun and relaxing night with your nearest and dearest?!
To set the mood of this fun, playful, city-inspired theme, we really wanted to have fun with the invitation suite. Ruby Brewer-Watkins really brought the vision to life with the colors and the bus illustration.
To help them celebrate in style, we wanted to pack a little floral punch with beautiful pops of color to the bus from Confleurtti. There are a few cute little spots around the bus to sit (we added metal chairs from All Occasions Party Rental for a hint of an industrial chic vibe), chat, and snack on some yummy treats from Blank & Board and those beautiful and delicious French macarons by Aycho Melange. We also really wanted to accentuate the beautiful space outside for guests to continue to mingle and feel at home. We did this by bringing in some fun pieces from Vintage Alley Rentals. A little night under the stars wouldn’t be complete with out with those beautiful bistro lights from Fireside Events.
With Wildly Loved’s love for color, you knew she was going to give us a little peep of color with Jamillia’s shoe – a beautiful Luna Selene red pump under her Luxe Redux Bridal dress. To complete her look, we wanted to keep her hair as natural as we could with some fun curls and a light natural with a hint of glam makeup look with the help of Hair Hive Hair Salon and Julea Beauty.
For Martell, we looked to the SuitShop to help us put together a look that was sharp and casual. They definitely brought it with the light tan suit for a late spring event.
As any Pittsburgher knows, Henne Jewelers comes to play with the sparkle and bling. We had so much picking out the beautiful jewels and it was so hard to narrow it down, but we think we found the perfect bling for this shoot.
The team really had so much fun on this more laid back, playful shoot and are so happy with how everything came together. I mean just look at those photos from Rachel Rowland and video from K+M Photo and Films!
