The mix of Lindsay and Brian’s individual personal styles collided flawlessly at their industrial-meets-boho Penn Brewery wedding. While Lindsay tends to lend towards a eclectic, vintage vibe, Brian gravitates to the gritty farmhouse trend. The day that marked the joining of their two lives also blended their two seemingly opposite aesthetics seamlessly. The outdoor terrace at Pittsburgh’s iconic brewery served as the perfect spot to dress up with an earthy color palette, dried florals, and vintage pieces including a gorgeous lounge area. Live edge tables with simplistic decor, including dried wheat and upcycled growlers to play off the brewery setting, brought warmth, while neon signs and metal accents added modern touches. Lindsay’s gorgeous embroidered Rue de Seine wedding gown from Blanc de Blanc Bridal was the perfect bohemian dress to compliment the urban ambiance of the day. The best part of this day? Lindsay and Brian planned it all in just four months. (*insert mind blown emoji here*) From the decor to the moments, Ash K Captures documented it all for this happy couple. So grab your glasses and get ready to toast to love!

About the Couple
We first met in 2017 after being introduced by Bryan’s sister, Sam. I worked with Sam for several years at Butler Memorial Hospital before I realized she had a cute single brother. We met for drinks at Recon Brewing and the rest is history!
Bryan proposed to me the day before my birthday during a ski trip to Seven Springs, PA. Our service dog-in-training, Mousse, was there for the occasion too.

About the Wedding
My vision for our wedding was a blend of both Bryan’s and my personal styles. I would describe Bryan’s aesthetic as “farmhouse industrial,” so I incorporated wooden farmhouse tables and a metal grid display for our seating chart. My style is more bohemian/vintage-inspired, so I chose dried floral arrangements and pampas grass paired with an earthy color palette of taupe, cream, black, and green. I also rented a vintage sofa, chairs, table, and rug for our lounge experience. I wasn’t sure how all the elements would look together, but I was beyond pleased with the final result!
I think the most unique aspect of our wedding is that it was planned in just four months. We got engaged in March, and had our ceremony and reception in July. Bryan’s dad become sick shortly after we got engaged, so we decided to have a small, intimate wedding this year so his dad could be involved with the planning process. We had about 45 guests at the wedding and it was SO perfect. I loved that we were able to chat and dance with every single person!

Favorite Moment
Breaking out into a freestyle dance with my dad during our father/daughter dance to “Boom Boom Pow” by the Black Eyed Peas was definitely a favorite moment! I think we listened to that song together 7398382 times on my way home from basketball practice when I was a kid. We started off dancing to a slow song, and then just busted out into the robot and some other sweet moves. Only a few people knew we were planning on doing that, so pretty much the entire crowd was shocked!
Another hilarious moment was pranking Bryan with a “first look”…but instead of Bryan seeing me in my dress for the first time, his best man Louie turned the corner in a long sleeved polyester wedding dress. Our photographer was in on the prank and got the best pictures of Bryan’s reaction!
