Elegance meets all out class in this University Club wedding that is sure to evoke all sorts of wedding envy. Jessica and Scott aimed for a celebration that was timeless yet fresh, chic yet modern. With their color palette of classic white and gold – with some fresh greenery for good measure – the pair got a soiree fit for any Pinterest board. Jessica looked ever the bride with a Hayley Paige ballgown from Bridal Beginning and a soft smokey eye and half up curls, both done by JL Makeup Studio & Beauty Boutique. A coordinated mixture of elevated floral arrangements full of sophisticated white blooms and golden favor boxes created a gilded place setting that was sure to make guests feel like royalty. A buttercream wedding cake bearing fresh flowers rounded out the traditional details while Rescue Flats for all of the female guests was a unique and thoughtful touch. If you think these details are lovely, just WAIT until you see the portraits (especially those at sunset) from Krystal Healy Photography!
About the Couple
These two met in college freshmen year in 2009! Jessica was just visiting friends when she met Scott. She knew it was something special so she transferred to Pitt for nursing school the next year! They got engaged in 2017 and Scott surprised her the day after proposing with a helicopter ride all over Pittsburgh (swoon!)
About the Wedding
Naturally, Pitt plays a BIG part in their love story so the University Club was a no brainier. They even hoped on one of the student busses to take them over to Heinz Chapel. It was awesome! The feeling of the wedding was classic, elegant, and timeless. They choose beautiful elements of gold for their cake and centerpieces and the most beautiful flowers in tones of white. It matched the venue perfectly!
Favorite Moment
From the photographer…
I loved sneaking up to the balcony at sunset – just a few moments to reflect on the day and get an awesome photo. It’s nice to have a couple of minutes away from the party to enjoy being newly married and take in the views!
