Golf has become not only a hobby for Olivia and Parker, but also a vital part of their love story – so much so that they got engaged on a golf course! When it came time to plan their engagement shoot, choosing Longue Vue Club was an easy decision. “The whole shoot was a blast,” the couple explained, recalling how immediately comfortable they felt with Kaitlin Powell Photography. The atmosphere was relaxed, and their laughter felt effortless and genuine. Olivia and Parker are a perfect example of one of our best tips: plan your engagement shoot around something you love doing together! Surrounded by scenic views and the autumn foliage, the couple made posing with golf clubs look effortlessly chic. They started in athletic looks and light sweaters, posing next to their golf cart, then later changed into dressier outfits to capture romantic golden hour moments on the hillside.

About the Couple
Olivia and Parker first crossed paths while playing basketball in elementary school, but their true friendship blossomed when Parker signed up to sit next to Olivia on a school trip in junior high. They briefly dated as teens but eventually went their separate ways. Fifteen years later, they reunited while playing golf with their parents, having back-to-back tee times at their hometown course. Before the round, they shared a brief moment to say hello and catch up. Afterward, Parker reached out to Olivia, and they went on their first date. They’ve been inseparable ever since. Ten months later, Parker proposed while they were playing a round of golf at The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island – getting engaged doing something they both love.

About the Shoot
From the couple…
Our engagement session was held at the historic Longue Vue Club, where we both recently became members. Golf is not only a hobby of ours individually but has also played a vital role in our relationship. We reconnected on a golf course, got engaged on a golf course, and will have our upcoming wedding reception at a golf course. We wanted our engagement session to reflect our personalities and take place at a meaningful location, and Longue Vue provided just that. The autumn season and scenic views on the course gave the perfect backdrop for our photos.
The whole shoot was a blast. While this was the first time we had met Kaitlin, she quickly made us feel comfortable – we were laughing and joking together in no time. The setting was peaceful and beautiful; we felt like we had the entire course to ourselves. The highlights of the day were the little moments of cracking jokes and flirting with one another to have fun and keep the smiles genuine. We loved the spontaneity of stopping at different spots and having those candid, laughter-filled moments captured perfectly. The golden hour lighting made everything feel even more magical and romantic. It was truly a picture-perfect setting that we’ll remember forever.
