With the flower fields of Carlsbad, California in mind, this garden wedding inspiration was brought to the ‘Burgh courtesy of The Big Fake Wedding. This traveling bridal show is a unique spin on the traditional event you might be used to. Instead of boring booths and long lines, The Big Fake Wedding combines the hottest wedding trends with a select city’s most talented wedding vendors for an interactive event that is fun and unique. For the first time ever, it visited Pittsburgh back in April and Burgh Brides had the honor of being part of all the action as a media sponsor. A spring palette of poppy red, peach, buttercup yellow, and mint green was a fresh contrast against the industrial venue – HIP at the Flashlight Factory. With various tablescapes designed by four different florists, the season was literally brought to life before guests very eyes. After celebrating the vow renewal of a REAL couple, guests were invited to casually mix and mingle with vendors, including everything from photographers, wedding planners, cake bakers, DJs, and everything in between. The night was magical, out-of-the-box, and an eclectic mix of local talent, including several Burgh Brides Vendor Guide members. If you missed out, here’s a photographic recap!
