A cotton candy colored sky made for a gorgeous backdrop to this city engagement session from Kathryn Hsylop Photography. With shades of pink, lavender, gold, and light blue, Mother Nature really showed off her best attributes while Zac and Lucas explored downtown Pittsburgh. Climbing on the Warhol Bridge and dancing around the River Walk, these two had so much fun showing their playful, casual sides in front of the camera. From their smiles to their warm embraces to their silly, soft, and romantic gestures, Katie truly captured these two in the most authentic light! Speaking of light, just wait until you see that sunset. It’s out of this world gorgeous! After the most magnificent golden hour, Zac and Lucas popped some champagne as the night time lights of the city glistened behind them. Get ready to raise a glass in honor of this e-sesh that we’re pretty sure you’re going to love!
About the Couple
We met online like every other couple these days. We hit it off like immediately. Lucas had just moved back to Pittsburgh from Ohio and we started dating pretty quickly!
Lucas proposed at home. He tied the ring onto one of our dogs, Elliott. The ring was on his collar for hours. We were laying on the couch watching “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and he kept mentioning Elliott. I kept telling him to leave him alone because he was sleeping. Then, finally we got up to go to bed and he let the dogs out and when they came back in, I saw the ring on his collar and I just about died!
About the Session
We went for a more casual look for this session. Katie is our neighbor and offered to do a shoot with us and we couldn’t say no. She was amazing and told us to just act naturally and have fun with it, and we really did. She made it so easy and comfortable to be in front of the camera and work with her!
