Folklore Wedding Inspiration

by Burgh Brides May 27, 2021

It’s no secret that pop culture has a way of influencing us and this folklore wedding inspiration is brought to you by one of Taylor Swift’s latest album. We were inspired to transform the prairie aesthetic into the prettiest wedding design. For the cutest backyard wedding you ever did see, we picture an intimate picnic style setup, complete with vintage rugs, pillows for comfort, and – since the days of Taylor and Katy Perry feuding are behind us – an abundance of daisies! Patterned linens can be implemented or interchanged with a simple oatmeal shade to sway the look from retro to boho depending on your taste. Or you can even skip them altogether and leave the wood textures exposed. A softly flowing gown adorned in lace with a floral vine weaved into a delicate braided updo would make the perfect bridal look. Meanwhile a tweed sport coat and stylish yet casual slacks would provide the perfect old-meets-new look for any groom. Details for a look of this kind work best with earthy textures consisting of rust, matte greens, and a touch of gold. But if you’re wanting to add more color, browns, mauves, and even a deep plum would look superb. We think these tones in your bridesmaid dresses would look especially divine! If you’re looking for a palette that brings a sense of calm, adds a bit of nature, and allows you to run wild with creativity, then this one’s for you!
