Florals reigned supreme at this romantic Pittsburgh Botanic Garden wedding. To create the garden party-like vibe, Christina and Michael chose a color palette or blush, taupe, cream, and gold. After saying “I do”, the newlyweds were showered in dried flower petals as they made their way back down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. At the party, Wanderlust Weddings and Events helped bring all of the flower-inspired details to life, which included a hand-painted cake by Alex Robba Cake and a custom floral monogram on the stationery from Blush Paper Co. Blumengarten Florist dressed up the tablescapes with fresh, local blooms, including ranunculus, the bride’s favorite. Even Christina fit the theme in a Suzanne Neville wedding dress featuring 3D flowers and a bespoke Vivi Embellish headpiece to match. Fresh, soft hair and makeup from JL Makeup Studio & Beauty Boutique completed her look. It was a captivating day that oozed romance and spring-time vibes. About the Couple
Michael and Christina met at their MBA program’s welcome picnic, where he noticed her Converse chucks and she noticed his Lily Evans green eyes. They served on an exec board together, kissed at a spring semi-formal dance, and the rest is history.
After two years together on a sunny Saturday, the pair went on a bike ride around Pittsburgh. Michael convinced Christina to take off her helmet and snap a selfie together in front of the river. To her surprise, he then dropped on one knee. Christina said, “How?” followed by a resounding, “Yes!”

About the Wedding
The wedding was a romantic garden party designed to be timeless and not stuffy (despite the record-setting heat in May!) Florals were local and seasonal and highlighted ranunculus – Christina’s favorite. Colors included pops of blush, tan, gold and cream. A floral motif used in the stationery was carried into the custom cake design.
Michael customized his entire wedding outfit and Christina had a bespoke headpiece designed to match her leafy dress details. The wedding party’s outfits were curated by the pair and purposefully different. Michael hand-selected ties for each of the groomsmen and Christina’s bridesmaids each had a different look.
What was unique was the dried flower confetti thrown by the wedding party and the combination of cultures. The Pittsburgh cookie table tradition featured Chinese red gift boxes.

Favorite Moment
Since the couple chose not to have a first look, Michael’s favorite moment was seeing Christina walk down the aisle; he teared up!
Christina’s favorite moment was right after the first kiss. Michael raised her arm in triumph and accidentally broke her designer dress’s arm strap! The photographer captured the hilarious first moment after marriage.
