There is something about getting really dressed up and heading into the city. It just makes ya feel FANCY, doesn’t it? Those are the vibes we’re getting from Megan and Brook’s downtown Pittsburgh engagement session. After a quick photo session at Point State Park, the pair traded their casual clothes for some designer duds. Megan looked like a QUEEN in a sparkly gold dress with a cowl back, while the groom-to-be kept things classic in a timeless black and white suit. Together, they reminded us of an old Hollywood couple and the glamour is palpable. Hey, Michael Will Photography – anytime you want to follow us around with a camera, we’re totally game. These shots are GORGEOUS!
About the Couple
We met in law school at Duquesne University, on the first day of classes. Brook claims it was love at first sight, but I don’t even remember us having most our first year of classes together. Fast forward three years…we had become part of the same friend group and spent a lot of time together over the course of those three years. But, it wasn’t until classes had ended and we were about to graduate that we went on our first date and we have been together since.
The proposal was something out of a movie! DiAnoia’s Eatery is our place. We go there for every celebration, date night, and sometimes just to grab coffee on a Saturday morning. Brook had known that was where he wanted the proposal to happen, but it wasn’t just during dinner. He reached out to the owners and they agreed to open up the restaurant when they are usually closed on Sunday nights. With the help of our friends, Brook got me there thinking we were just meeting our two closest friends for a fun early Valentine’s Day dinner date night. But when we got there, we walked into a completely empty restaurant and were taken over to a table with candles and sparkling wine. Brook pulled the ring box out of his pocket, got down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife. I followed with the only logical answer of “Are you serious?!” And then of course said YES!
