Fall Foliage Engagement Session: Betsy & Kurt

by Burgh Brides October 19, 2015

Warning: fall is about to explode all over your screen.  It’s my favorite season so I’m ok with that.  Hope you are too.

Betsy and Kurt’s engagement session, so beautifully captured by Steven Dray Images, resulted in the most picture perfect fall photos.  Seriously, all that’s missing is a pumpkin spice latte.  Betsy’s hair against the kaleidoscope of red, orange, yellow, and green leaves is pure magic.  Plus, their sweet puppy is pretty cute!  Steven selected some unique locations and backgrounds and wound up with the awesome shots below.  Excuse me while I go dye my hair now.  It looks like redheads just might have more fun.

From the photographer…

This shoot was inspired by history.   Both Kurt & Betsy are history teachers and wanted to do a historic location but also include some nice fall colors.  After some deliberation, I decided that Allegheny Commons, Riverview Park, and the Mexican War Streets would be a perfect mix of fall, urbanization, and history all rolled into one atmosphere.  This bride and groom were awesome because they had great chemistry and trusted me with picking the locations.  When you trust your photographer, you get better photos.  I am not gonna lie though, Betsy’s hair is pretty stinking awesome too!

Ahhhh I love fall! And you’re right – her hair is amazing! Love love love the backdrop of reds, oranges, and yellows. Makes me wish we had a bit more color here in Southern California!
