Alyssa and Alex’s elegant winter wedding at Bella Sera Event Villa featured poinsettias and garlands of pine branches, creating a rich and cozy holiday atmosphere. This Tuscan villa-inspired Pittsburgh wedding venue boasted an exceptional team of wedding professionals, led by Andrea, their in-house planner. Brad Riggio Photography captured moments of the couple as they strolled through the serene outdoor spaces, while videography by Elevated Media highlighted the glimmer of candlelight during the couple’s ceremony in front of the illuminated stone fireplace. Alyssa’s off-the-shoulder ballgown embraced timeless elegance, complemented by a soft updo and glamorous holiday look created by Heart of Glass. The venue was adorned with DIY faux flowers, blending red and white roses with small ornaments and pinecones. Guests dined on in-house catering at tables draped in velvet tablecloths, surrounded by twinkling lights strung from festive trees. Bethel Bakery designed a wedding cake beautifully flocked with a sparkling, snow-like outer layer, while guests savored desserts alongside a hot cocoa bar. In the spirit of Christmas, they also included must-have sugar cookies and gingerbread men on their cookie table spread.

About the Couple
Alyssa and Alex fell in love while working at the “most magical place on earth.” In 2019, both had moved to Orlando, Florida, to work at Walt Disney World. As fate would have it, they were assigned to Mombasa Marketplace, a shop in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where they first met. After three years of dating, they got engaged at Disney’s Riviera Resort, bringing their love story full circle under the same magic that first brought them together.

About the Wedding
While residing in Florida, Alyssa and Alex knew they wanted to break away from the traditional spring or summer wedding typically associated with their sunny surroundings. Instead, they embraced their love of the holidays and Christmastime. Inspired by their hometowns in the Northeast, they discovered Bella Sera online and booked a flight home to Pennsylvania for a venue tour. They fell in love with it immediately. Not only was it the perfect setting for their vision of an elegant Christmas celebration, but they also appreciated that the wedding package included decor, food, photography, and even a DJ, eliminating the need to juggle multiple vendors.

Favorite Moment
From the groom…
It’s hard to choose just one favorite moment from that amazing day! We both got ready at Bella Sera, enjoying a catered breakfast of danishes and mimosas provided by the venue. Alyssa was dropped off in the morning and got ready with her close family. I arrived with my brother later that morning to get ready. Alyssa and I took turns going in and out of our separate rooms to avoid seeing each other until our first look later that afternoon. Getting married to the person who randomly came into my life five years ago and became my best friend was an unforgettable experience.
