Crisp leaves, scenic waters, and warm earth tones are flourishing in today’s engagement session at McConnells Mill. The fall season was exactly what Sharmaine and Andrew had wanted for their engagement photos and this picturesque park proved to be the perfect spot – showcasing the beautiful autumn skies with a chill in the air. Hand-in-hand, the two looked in love as ever as they climbed to new heights, embraced one another beneath the trees, and traipsed through the rocky landscapes. Notorious for their moody and romantic photography style, Oakwood Photo + Video captured all the best moments that are sure to inspire you. Enjoy a sense of wander as you scroll through these images below!
About the Couple
We technically met our freshman year at Villanova University. It was at the choir’s music camp, but we didn’t start talking until sophomore year.
He took me to Preston Park and we had a picnic by the lake. He sang me “Your Song” by Elton John and then proposed. When we were finished, we walked up the hill and both of our moms were waiting at the bench at the top! This was an even bigger surprise for me because my mom lived in New Jersey and she flew in the night before. She passed away unexpectedly shortly after so it was really special for her to be at the engagement.
About the Session
We were going for a moody, romantic, fall engagement session. When I found Oakwood Photo + Video in the Burgh Brides Vendor Guide, I knew they would be the perfect fit. We were supposed to have a spring wedding so we wanted our engagement photos to be in the fall.
