With a New Year’s Eve wedding on the horizon, Nicole and Dante wanted their downtown Pittsburgh engagement session to reflect their upcoming modern celebration. To do so, they snapped some shots on the rooftop of a parking garage right in the middle of he city. Nicole’s pearl encrusted top, jeans, and heels paired perfectly with Dante’s all-black getup with sporty sneaks. Their style and the gritty setting made for some incredible images thanks to Carly Ferraco Photography. After completing their photos outdoors, they then headed to The Oaklander – their soon-to-be reception space – to document their love among the sleek lines and contemporary decor of the hotel. They even shared some champagne at the bar and cuddled up near the fireplace, letting the sparks of their love fly. These engagement photos are cool with style and hot with romance. No doubt you’re gonna be inspired!

About the Couple
Nicole and Dante started dating in February 2018. Nicole introduced herself on Instagram after hearing about Dante from some mutual friends. They immediately hit it off.
Their first date was at an arcade, an unconventional place to meet up for the first time. It turned out to be the perfect start to their budding romance. Almost four years later, they returned to the same spot when Dante got down on one knee and asked Nicole to marry him. Dante used his 6-year old nephew as a decoy, prompting him to beg Nicole to take him to the arcade since he was off school for Christmas break. Dante also invited close friends and family to be there to witness the event. Somehow, even with all these people in on it, he pulled off a perfect surprise engagement that Nicole was definitely not expecting.

About the Session
Their wedding is taking place at The Oaklander, a hotel venue with a modern black and white vibe that inspired the theme for their engagement session. To get that contemporary look, we headed to the rooftops of downtown Pittsburgh, using the clean lines and colors of the city’s buildings to make up the backdrop for most of the shots.
This session was unique because they also took pictures inside their reception venue at The Oaklander. They headed into the sleek and sophisticated rooms that make up the event space, and took photos in front of the fireplace, a massive bar, and the windows overlooking the Cathedral of Learning. The couple raised a glass to their engagement in the venue they would soon use to celebrate the most important day of their lives.
