Two retired racing greyhounds were the stars of the show at this Point State Park engagement session from Michael Will Photography. Olive and Ellie were living their best lives in front of the camera and with their humans, Megan and Brook. The little family of four explored grassy areas, went for walks, and were all smiles under a gorgeous sunny sky. While these pups are pretty cute, they can’t surpass this bride and groom to be. Megan and Brook look head over heels in love as they took in all of the nooks and crannies and well-known spots Pittsburgh’s city park has to offer. This feature is bound to become a fast favorite and not just because of the furry friends!
About the Couple
We met in law school at Duquesne University, on the first day of classes. Brook claims it was love at first sight, but I don’t even remember us having most our first year classes together. Fast forward three years…we had become part of the same friend group and spent a lot of time together. But, it wasn’t until classes had ended and we were about to graduate that we went on our first date and we have been together since.
The proposal was something out of a movie! DiAnoia’s Eatery is our place. We go there for every celebration, date night, and sometimes just to grab coffee on a Saturday morning. Brook had known that was where he wanted the proposal to happen, but it wasn’t just during dinner. He reached out to the owners and they agreed to open up the restaurant when they are usually closed on Sunday nights. With the help of our friends, Brook got me there thinking we were just meeting our two closest friends for a fun early Valentine’s Day dinner date night. But when we got there, we walked into a completely empty restaurant and I was taken over to a table with candles and sparkling wine. Brook pulls the ring box out of his pocket, gets down on one knee, and asked me to be his wife. I followed with the only logical answer of “Are you serious?!” And then of course, said YES!
About the Session
From the moment I first saw Michael Will’s photography I knew I wanted him for our wedding. He was the first vendor we booked as soon as we had the reception location.
We have two retired racing greyhounds,Olive and Ellie, from Steel City Greyhounds that we wanted to be a little part of our shoot so we wanted somewhere with grass, but that was still Pittsburgh. The Point seemed to be the best spot.
