Today’s styled shoot with KB Coordination & Design fully embraced the concept of “earthy luxury,” blending texture and movement to create a fresh, harmonious aesthetic. “I wanted to show couples that you don’t have to choose between refined and organic – between soft and strong,” the designer shared. The team chose Bridge and Rising Studio & Lofts for its light-filled space, while Coultan Lucas Photography beautifully captured the relaxed couple in both photos and video. Modern, neutral, earth-toned pieces from The 1978 Collection perfectly complemented the natural hues of Ally Zajac Floral Designs’ arrangements, which, upon arrival, left the team speechless and completely transformed the mood. Model attire was provided by Premier Bridal Studio, featuring a gown with dreamy layers of tulle and floating, billowy sleeves. The groom wore a taupe-colored suit and a chocolate brown tie from Surmesur Custom Menswear. Rounding out the details was earthy, elegant stationery by Angela Pro Design and a nature-inspired cake by The Flour Shop that looked as if it had been sculpted by Mother Nature herself. Hoping to inspire couples to embrace the slow, intentional energy of nature while still making bold statements, the designer explained, “This neutral, textured, mossy palette just felt right.” She added, “Every detail, every moment, felt full of love.”

This shoot was born from a vision I couldn’t shake – something earthy and grounded, yet soft and elevated. I wanted it to feel like a fairytale, but not in the traditional sense. It was more like a modern, neutral-toned dream with texture, movement, and a sense of the unexpected. I kept coming back to the idea of “calm but bold,” with the intention to create a space that felt relaxing and inviting, but with depth and elegance.
At the heart of this shoot was the freedom to mix. I wanted to show couples that you don’t have to choose between refined and organic, between soft and strong. You can play with texture, lean into bold colors, and still create something timeless. The head table linen, for example, was a deliberate shift away from traditional ivory to something richer, because neutral doesn’t have to mean boring. I was speechless when Ally brought in the florals. She pulled together a mix of textured tones, soft garden roses, bold amaranthus, and unexpected touches like anthurium that made it feel simultaneously earthy and luxurious.
I didn’t imagine a couple when I started designing, but the real couple who stepped into this vision made it magic. They were calm, deeply in love, and somehow perfectly matched the mood of the shoot. Their connection, their ease, their presence – it all brought the vision to life in the most beautiful way.
This shoot was especially meaningful to me because most of my work leans toward coordination, which I love, but this gave me a chance to stretch creatively. I want KB Coordination & Design to be a space where couples come for more than logistics. I want them to feel inspired and to trust that we can help them take bold ideas and make them feel effortless.
On a personal level, this felt like home. I grew up spending time at my family’s lakehouse, and there’s something about being surrounded by nature – that slow, intentional energy – that’s always stayed with me. Maybe it’s the Taurus in me or the patchouli-loving hippie at heart, but this neutral, textured, mossy palette just felt right. The whole day felt like a fever dream in the best way. I was surrounded by the hardest-working, most talented, and kindest vendors who believed in this vision just as much as I did. Every detail, every moment, felt full of love.
