Alexi and Brian choose to do their engagement pictures around Shadyside because of how special the location has been to them and their relationship. This area is where this beautiful couple met, got engaged, live together currently, and the place where they also will say their vows to one another. Their session took place at various spots including Millie’s Ice Cream for their favorite sweet treat and Mario’s East Side Saloon where they met. It ended with some beautiful greenery shots in Frick Park. Alexi looked stunning with hair and makeup done by Glam to Go and we can’t get enough of her light purple dress from Gal Meets Glam. About the Couple
We got engaged two days after Valentine’s day. I was traveling for work on Valentine’s day, so we had planned to celebrate when I got back. Brian told me he was taking me somewhere nice for dinner, and asked me to go to his apartment for a drink before. When I got there, he opened the door and I was completely blown away. He strung lights with dozens of pictures of us around his apartment, along with candles and roses. At first, I just thought he was going above and beyond for Valentine’s day, but I quickly realized something more was going on! After saying some really sweet words, he got down on one knee and I said yes!
About the Session
Brian and I knew that we wanted our engagement session to be in Shadyside, since it is so special to us. We chose Millie’s since we both shamelessly LOVE food, especially ice cream, and it’s our go-to neighborhood spot for something sweet. We also wanted to get a picture at Mario’s where we met! Lastly, we went to Frick Park for a more casual setting and greenery. Abbie took our ideas and ran with them, and the result was even more incredible than we could have ever imagined. She did a great job showing our personalities and love for each other, and we will cherish these photos forever!
