How early should couples start planning wedding signage?
Planning should start 6-12 months before the wedding for signage. Having an overall theme for the wedding set early will minimize the stress for everyone involved.
What is a realistic timeline for ordering and finalizing wedding signage, especially for spring and summer weddings?
SpeedPro offers extremely fast turn-around times, but it’s always appreciated when the final artwork for all signage is sent to us at least two weeks before the wedding date.
How has the demand for custom wedding signage evolved over the past decade? Are there any trends you’re seeing for 2025-2026 weddings?
Every year, we see a huge increase in custom wedding visuals. The most popular trends overall are the extravagant dance floors and unique seating chart displays.
How does personalization (themes, monograms, color schemes) impact your creative process?
We love using our creativity to design one-of-a-kind visual experiences. The more ideas the client shares, the better we can feed off their vision and bring it to life.
What are the biggest mistakes couples make when planning their wedding signage?
The #1 mistake couples make when planning their wedding signage is trying to create the artwork themselves. Hire a graphic designer or come to us to help create professional, printable files.
What should couples prioritize when choosing designs and materials for their wedding signage?
The main things couples should prioritize are their color scheme (Pantone colors, if possible), the size of their displays, and keeping the overall wedding theme in mind.
What are your top three tips for couples to make wedding signage planning and execution seamless and stress-free?
Have artwork print-ready, have Pantone or swatch colors picked out for color matching, and set a budget.
Are there any pitfalls to avoid when working with a printing shop or designer for wedding signage?
The only issue we occasionally run into is receiving artwork just a few days before the wedding, with the expectation that everything can still be completed on time. While we still make it happen, it can interfere with deadlines for other projects.
What should couples consider when deciding the type and size of their wedding signs?
I definitely recommend looking at inspiration photos to decide what kind of display they’d like, and always measuring the areas where the displays will be placed to ensure a proper fit.
How do you help couples balance aesthetics with functionality, like ensuring signs are legible and weather-resistant for outdoor weddings?
Aesthetics are very important. We always aim to exceed the couple’s expectations with the final product. That said, we review all the details with them to ensure the display can withstand the environment where it will be placed. Legibility is handled during the proofing process; we always send proofs to the couple before printing to ensure everything is as high-resolution as possible.
What are some creative solutions for couples on a tight budget to still have beautiful signage?
Welcome signs can be an affordable way to add an elegant touch to a wedding. A plain white dance floor is also a great option for couples on a budget who still want a clean, polished look without going all out.
Are there any innovations in printing or design that you think will transform wedding signage in the next few years?
I think AI is going to drastically change the design game by offering ideas we might not have thought of on our own.
Do you foresee any new trends in sustainable or reusable wedding signage?
Many wedding signage elements, like table numbers, seating chart displays, and bar signs, can be reused, which helps drastically reduce waste.
