Pittsburgh may not be home to an ocean, but that didn’t stop Samantha and Matthew from having a romantic, coastal style Lake Erie engagement session. Together with Jessica Jolene Photography, they headed just two hours north of the city to document their love in an easy, breezy setting. Wearing simple, neutral tones they walked in the sand and got caught in the waves while taking in a gorgeous sunset. Afterwards, they boarded a boat and drifted along the currents as they popped champagne and embraced one another atop the boat deck. Much like the scenery, their love is so effortlessly beautiful — making their session a true representation of who they are. The outcome is so romantic that we’ll be dreaming for days about these nautical images. We hope you’re ready to do the same!

About the Couple
Matt and I met at our apartment complex. We lived in the same building and had some mutual friends who hung out together. One night, something just clicked and we’ve been inseparable ever since. I always joke with him that he “fell in love with the girl next door.”
Matt proposed last October during a fall photoshoot I had planned. He was in contact with the photographer the whole time, and had planned to propose and I had no clue!

About the Session
I had a vision in my mind of a super romantic and classic shoot and our photographer, Jessica, was so down for it! The pictures truly do convey our relationship – just effortless and affectionate, goofy, and silly. I wanted to do something super unique and that I’ve never really seen before and I couldn’t be more obsessed with how our photos turned out. My engagement photo dreams turned into a reality.
