When the bride describes herself as a “girly girl,” you know her J. Verno Studios wedding is bound to be good. Melanie’s love for pink played center stage in her and Alex’s celebration. To offset the classic feminine color, a variety of other shades were incorporated too. Lavender, peach, red, magenta, and even metallics all blended seamlessly together for a bright look that screamed happiness. After a traditional church ceremony, the newlyweds hosted an artsy-meets-classic reception at the eclectic South Side studio space. There, The Farmer’s Daughter created floral magic with arrangements of dahlias, tulips, roses, and ranunculus, to name just a few. These fresh blooms also almost completely covered a buttercream wedding cake from Oakmont Bakery, emitting those garden vibes. Soft pink uplighting, a nod to the couple’s beloved pups, and pale pink vintage inspired glassware were just a few of the other details managed by Hello Productions. While all of this was beautiful, our favorite part of the day just might have been Melanie’s pink ombre glitter Jimmy Choo heels. Get.In.Our.Closets. There was no one more fabulous to capture this wedding day than Leeann Marie Photography. Feast your eyes on this beauty!
About the Couple
Alex and I met on Tinder! Alex and I both said from our first few dates that we felt like we knew each other for way longer. We just clicked.
Alex proposed to me in North Carolina on Top Sail Island while we were vacationing with his family.
About the Wedding
I’m all about PINK. If you know me, you know I’m a girly girl. Alex is very traditional and we wanted to be able to mix our vibes into one. J. Verno Studios was the perfect location for that “artsy” look with a classic feel.
