From Paris to Pittsburgh – a local team of creatives brought the old-world European charm to Vinoski Winery. The chateau-inspired venue gave life to the fresh design, which utilized soft colors and minimalist yet striking details that have us gushing. The idea, dreamed up by Pittsburgh wedding planner Jeannene Lillie Events, stemmed from wanting to showcase that intimate weddings can be utterly romantic – with proof you don’t even have to travel far to make it happen! Textured florals by May Chester Design became a versatile component in the decor, handmade paper stationery and artistic calligraphy by Victoria Fiaretti Designs added to the delicacy, and neutral linens from Lendable Linens with chairs from Event Source and gold-trimmed table elements from All Occasions Party Rental all had a hand in the elegance that came to be. We certainly can’t forget to mention the gorgeous wedding cake sprouting with hand-made berries and sugar flowers by Alex Robba Cake. This fete is one you’re sure to fall in love with, but if what we’re saying hasn’t already convinced you, these photos by Araka Walker Photography are sure to inspire your dreamy day – no matter what the size!
About the Shoot
Poised on top of a hill just an hour outside of Pittsburgh sits the family-owned Vinoski Winery, which is lovingly referred to as “the castle”. With its Château-like architecture, beautiful scenery, and spacious rooms, it was the perfect venue to host a European-inspired micro wedding styled shoot.
The vision for this shoot was to create inspiration for couples interested in elopements and micro weddings who still want an incredible celebration without sacrificing style and luxury.
The shoot’s planner and designer, Jeannene Lillie Events, was intentional in creating a style that would inspire a feeling of European elegance highlighted with the softness and excitement of spring. A delicate palette of soft pinks, ivory, and cream cloaked in luxury textiles and delicate gold details exudes refinement from every element.
When creating the design, we showcased the benefits of utilizing flexible floral arrangements for the ceremony. The lush ceremony floral arrangements by May Chester Designs that adorned the terrace were later transitioned to accent the stone steps, where we photographed the couple’s portrait session. Additionally, these ceremony florals were also utilized to accent the ends of their reception table.
Stationer and calligrapher Victoria Fiaretti Designs crafted a suite of delicate, handmade paper, flowing calligraphy, and deckled edges in blush and ivory, punctuated by strong slates and glittering gold for added European elegance. Mirroring the invitation’s elegance, the wedding cake, created by Alex Robba Cake, featured hand-crafted berries, blooms, delicate branches, and a subtle watercolor texture designed on a hexagon cake.
During a time when weddings have changed in ways we could have never expected, this shoot created an opportunity to celebrate and showcase intimate gatherings.
