If you’ve ever daydreamed about the perfect backyard affair, then today’s wedding at SanaView Farms is here to inspire you! With family style tables, personalized corn-hole boards, and nature’s beauty surrounding them, Kaska and Bill’s day felt as though it was right in their own backyard. Warm and cool tones collided to produce the perfect amount of color against the backdrop of Mother Nature during this al fresco style celebration. As if planning your wedding isn’t tiring enough, Kaska and Bill decided to take their design to the next level by doing A LOT of it themselves. This charming fete encompassed so many meaningful touches, and Wanderlust Images and Shannon Chavez Production knew how to capture every aspect of the day! Get ready to be in awe!
About the Couple
The stars aligned for Kaska and Bill on New Year’s Eve 2015. Having met in 2004 at Mount Lebanon High School, they discovered an interest in each other early on. Once Bill and Kaska went to college, Steelers tailgates, holiday parties, and mutual friends always would be means for a casual run in. Over the years, the two were continuously reminded of the attraction they had for one another.
The timing was right when Kaska was looking to transition out of New York City. Coming home for the holidays thru New Year’s allowed for a holiday neither Kaska or Bill will ever forget. Kaska and Bill ran into one another at a New Year’s Eve party. Days later, Bill finally asked Kaska out on their first date. The two immediately realized the chemistry they had was something very special.
The couple tried to maintain a long distance relationship from New York City to Pittsburgh, but they could not be without one another. After a few months, she decided her next adventure would bring her back home to Pittsburgh, and she was ready to see where the relationship would lead.
Over two amazing years later, Bill decided to take the relationship to the next level and proposed to her at one of their frequent vacation getaways – Colorado on the Fourth of July at the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs
About the Wedding
What made our wedding unique is we completed all of the decorating and provided all the rentals on our own. We are very much DIY-ers. Bill and his family and friends helped to make 22 farm tables and repurpose 160+ chairs. Seeking out vintage finds has always been a fun hobby we share – whether at the flea market or skimming Craiglist. While seeking out some finds to utilize at our wedding, we found a 1000+ piece depression glass collection for sale. We decided to purchase the collection, which soon became the focal point of our wedding theme and decor. The theme was referred to as rustic chic and included some vintage flare. All items were outsourced or created by us.
