Slices from Pizzeria Davide and a bottle of champagne transformed what could have been a typical city Strip District engagement shoot into a fun, vibrant, date-inspired photo session. Joey Kennedy Photography captured city art and spirit around every corner as the couple posed, danced, and fully embraced their spur-of-the-moment energy. Dressed in formal attire, Jordan wore a classic suit while Casey opted for a flouncy, ruffled mini dress. With help from Casey’s sister and mother, the planning details fell seamlessly into place. Casey and Jordan popped champagne in the middle of the Strip District, picked up a box of their favorite pizza, and shared slices on the sidewalk – grounding the day in the city where they’ll begin their next chapter together.

About the Couple
Casey and Jordan’s story didn’t start with a first date – it began years earlier, long before romance was in the picture. Jordan had been close friends with Casey’s older brother and sister, so the two had always known each other. Years later, thanks to mutual friends, and those same siblings, their paths crossed again. The timing was perfect, and the connection was instant. Casey and Jordan began dating in 2017 and, in their words, have been “having the best time together ever since.”
On Thanksgiving 2023, Jordan quietly brought Casey’s mom into a secret plan, setting the stage for a surprise engagement. The following February, he proposed at home – but the celebrations didn’t stop there. Moments later, Casey walked into an engagement party on Mt. Washington, where all of their favorite people were waiting to cheer, toast, and celebrate the start of their next chapter together.

About the Shoot
From the couple…
Our engagement photos in the Strip District were fun, vibrant, and so us. We wanted the shoot to capture the same energy we hoped to carry through our entire wedding: colorful, joyful, and full of personality. The Strip was the perfect backdrop for that.
Of course, we brought two of our favorite things: pizza from Pizza Davide (our go-to) and champagne, because nothing says “celebration” for us quite like bubbles and a slice! Popping champagne in the middle of the Strip, sharing pizza on the sidewalk, and wandering through the streets made the whole shoot feel effortless, playful, and genuinely fun.
My mom and sister were huge helps in planning everything, from outfits to timing to all the little ideas that made the day feel special. Looking back, those photos perfectly capture everything we wanted this season of life to be: colorful, FUN, full of love, and rooted in the city where we’ll start our new life together.
