Richly dramatic yet daintily feminine, this blush & burgundy wedding is pure romance. And speaking of romantic…after a scavenger hunt planned by the groom leading to a tear-jerking proposal to his bride-to-be, there was no doubt that Chelsea and Jason’s wedding would be just that! Their soiree was filled with candlelight, stunning florals by Community Flower Shop, and elegant gold detailing. A winning color combination of dark burgundy coupled with blush pink and dusty rose gave a whimsical yet eye-catching backdrop to the entire day and it was incorporated into everything from the florals to the linens to the bridesmaids dresses. The team at Eventioneers flawlessly executed the rentals and decor, making the ballroom look like something out of a fairy tale! The two shared their first dance under one of the most beautiful chandeliers, complete with a luscious greenery floral wreath (ā¦serious show-stopper!) and partied into the night with music by DJ Tooth. Our hearts sure are pumping so get ready to swoon over these images captured by Jenni Grace Photography!
About the Couple
We knew early on that this was the real deal and were engaged after only 10 months of dating! Our lives had crossed paths many times before without ever actually meeting. Jason’s childhood friend married my grad school classmate. He had routine meetings for medical school in the same building where I had my first job as a PA. Years later, we actually met on a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel! Our first date was at Shady Grove followed by Millie’s Ice Cream!
Jason put together an incredible scavenger hunt around Pittsburgh at our favorite date spots. There were stops at Point State Park, Arsenal Lanes, Round Corner Cantina, Mount Washington, Aspinwall Baseball Fields, and Mellon Park. Finally, the clues lead to a proposal along a wooded creek in Aspinwall. There were lots of happy tears and I couldn’t tell you what he said but it was truly one of the happiest moments of our lives. Our families were waiting for us at Atria’s afterward!
About the Wedding
Our wedding theme was modern romantic. Our colors were deep red, dusty rose, ivory, and gold with lots of candles! There were so many details to love. We loved the floral chandelier and candlelit ballroom. The cake was to die for. The wedding would not be complete without the unbelievable cookie table that my Italian mom, Julie, orchestrated to perfection.
Favorite Moment
It was really special to start the day getting ready at home with my closest friends and mom drinking coffee, mimosas, and listening to music. The day flies by but I will never forget walking down the aisle with my dad to Jason, exchanging vows, and our first dance asĀ hubby and wifey!
Romance is always in the air and is heightened by the right choice of colors. I like the addition of burgundy color to most of the items. Good Luck.
