Who says that geometric details and macrame backdrops are just for boho brides? This whimsical wedding inspired styled shoot from Alyssa Thomas Events says otherwise. With a unique blend of classic and trendy, this stylish planner with an eye for color shows that even the most timeless of brides can still have a day full of contemporary looks. Shades of the summer and spring seasons – pink, peach, purple, blue, and teal – pop against the whitewashed walls of Studio 61B, the wooden tables of Vintage Alley Rentals, and the rose gold chiavari chairs of Eventioneers. Unexpected tablescape pairings of patterns with textures keep the eye guessing while oversized, sunshine-y floral arrangements from greenSinner please all the senses. Wicker vignettes from Vintage Alley Rentals provided comfy seating for guests after clean, chic stationery from Hello Rachel Creative set the mood. While the bride dazzled in an airy wedding gown and beaded accessories from Blanc de Blanc Bridal, the real star of this show was a sweet, flower collar-clad pup who is all things adorable! Speaking of adorable…just wait until you see these photos from Eva Lin Photography. This styled shoot has me itching for a wedding re-do!
About the Shoot
Staged in a loft studio in the heart of Pittsburgh, this shoot was inspired by the desire to mix the industrial architecture this city was built upon with a soft and whimsical modern day bohemian style that can seem sometimes unachievable in the Steel City. The white washed stone walls provided texture and a clean background that inspires so many modern day brides. With an everlasting passion for mixing color, texture, and dimension, Alyssa Thomas Events chose to showcase the punchy pastels blooms that arrive with the spring and summer season and play them off of copper and macramé accents to keep the eyes wandering through this organic and playful setting. Every detail from the organic and wild floral arrangements, geo-copper candle holders, textured ceramic plates, and the pink quartz embedded hair pin and sash were carefully selected to emphasize this effortless bohemian style, allowing them to shine in an unexpected space.
