A wedding isn’t a Pittsburgh wedding unless it’s a black & gold wedding, right? But trust me when I say this…there is a right way to do black and gold, and there is a (very) wrong way to do it. What’s the right way? THIS. First, choose metallic gold over yellow gold. That will lead to a chic, not kitschy, color combo. Then, choose another shade to be your accent color. Emerald, raspberry, blush, it doesn’t really matter because black and gold are pretty much neutrals. You can even throw in a little Kate Spade inspo with stripes, polka dots, or other geometric pattern. Keep things sophisticated with LBDs for bridesmaids dresses, traditional tuxedos for the gents, monochromatic white florals, and lots of sparkle. No Steelers, Penguins, or Pirates motifs here…this black and white wedding inspiration is nothing but class. Pittsburgh done right, my friends.
