I’m kicking off the Best of Burgh Brides 2016 series today and first up is wedding flowers! Money spent on wedding flowers is NEVER money wasted! I’m all about saving a buck or two, but fresh florals are totally worth every.single.penny. However, you don’t always need to spend a fortune; sometimes the best flowers are dainty and demure. Other times, my favorites have been bold and abundant. It all depends on your style and what kind of impression you want to create. While I’ve featured lots of pretty posies on the blog over the past year, here are the ones I’ve loved the most.
Yolanda & Nathan
What.a.show.stopper. Yolanda’s bouquet was absolutely breathtaking! I’ve honestly never seen anything quite like it. Big, bold, and beautiful…and picture perfect for her and Nathan’s southern inspired wedding!

Kirstie & Troy
Um, first let’s talk about this aisle decor. Helloooooo gorgeous! The floral arbor and rose petal aisle runner have me weak in the knees. Don’t even get me started on Kirstie’s bouquet. Overall, it may have been a soft, romantic wedding, but these flowers had the power to totally WOW!

Jillian & Dan
An abundance of candlelight and a variety of centerpieces containing roses, lilies, ranunculus, and dusty miller brought romance and ambiance to this dreamy, beach inspired wedding. Mirrored vases and even glass-pressed dried floral bases added a modern touch. I can hear the waves crashing now…

Stephanie & Patrick
The flowers at this classic, art deco wedding were so SO gorgeous! Want to know why? Because the bride is a florist! I wouldn’t ever recommend DIY’ing your own wedding florals, unless that’s what you actually do for a living, of course. Stephanie’s arrangements of roses and tulips were 100% perfection!

Alexis & Brad
The varying shades of Alexis’s bouquet fit right in with her purple ombre wedding. My favorite part though was the long ribbons tied around the stems – so whismy! Brad’s boutonniere of an old skeleton key – an item that had a very special meaning at this wedding – was equally as charming.

Stacy & Tim
This shabby chic wedding was one part romance, one part whimsical, and one part vintage. Stacy’s voluminous, textural bouquet, dainty boutonnieres, and a variety of curated centerpieces of flowers, old books, lace doilies, and antique tea cups were a beautiful combination.

Alyssa & Chris
I’m mildly obsessed with the dried wheat and lavender peeking out of Alyssa’s bouquet. What a nice touch to match her woodsy, organic wedding. The neutral tones of white, light pink, and peach roses were just the right amount of color too.

Tara & Marc
I absolutely looooove lavender, so I was thrilled to see so much of it at this romantic garden wedding. In the bouquets, the centerpieces, even the boutonnieres. The golden bird cages made a unique addition to an otherwise classic tablescape too!

Sarah & Adam
WOW! That’s the only word that can describe the florals at this emerald winter wedding. Tall, flowering bundles of magnolia leaves overflowing out of gold metallic vases, greenery cascading down candelabras, and blooms dripping from the lighting fixtures. Luxurious, modern, chic, and about a million other good adjectives!
