A celebration of love and Italian heritage unfolded for Savana’s wedding shower at The Pittsburgh Golf Club. Savana’s love for an Aperol Spritz, a classic Italian cocktail, served as the muse for this joyous occasion. The primary color palette of orange paid homage to the iconic drink, while dusty blue and earthy tones complemented the design. Collaborating with Pittsburgh wedding vendors like Blush Paper Co. and Vintage Alley Rentals, Savana curated an experience that was both elegant and personalized to her tastes. Guests were greeted with a charming welcome sign adorned with hand-drawn oranges and balloons. Where the bride-to-be planned to open gifts featured more balloons and a neon sign that read “That’s Amore”. Aperol Spritz escort cards lead everyone to their seats, where they found sunset color napkins, gold chargers, and chiavari chairs adorning each place setting. Orange scented candles and centerpieces of luscious orange and white blooms popped from vases filled with citrus fruits, creating a delightful sensory experience. A vintage candy cart adorned with flowers showcased a delectable array of desserts, including cookies, sweet treats, and a zesty two-tier cake trimmed in rhinestones. Before everyone departed, they were invited to share their favorite recipes with the bride-to-be. About the Shower
My favorite drink is an Aperol Spritz and I thought why not make it a theme. I am Italian and so is my fiancé, so it was perfect. I planned every detail myself. I took a lot of time thinking of the right centerpieces and recruiting the right vendors. A personal friend did my welcome sign and tags for the Aperol bottles. I ordered the tags off of Etsy to match the wax seals on my invitations. I got unique votives to add an old vintage twist. My candy cart was rented from an old family friend. I got all the jars from Michael’s, Target, and Crate and Barrel. I wanted it to feel like Italy but to be a party. I didn’t spend too much time on games because I wanted everyone to mingle and have fun. My maid of honor is a rockstar and made all the games and recipe sign.
