One look at Angela and Paul’s wedding at Oakmont Country Club will instantly make you feel like you’ve been transported to the seas of Italy. Their Amalfi Coast inspired celebration was designed to honor their heritage. Blue and white Italian tiles sparked the inspo of the fresh color palette, which Joyful Events by Jade was able to help incorporate into the light and serene details. While crisp white linens and yellow flowers played a role at tying in the design, shades of blue added the perfect pop of color. This was seen through their invitations, bridesmaids dresses, paisley tuxedo jackets, and the vases placed on the reception tables. Escort cards also carried the blue tile and lemon aesthetic. In addition to the gorgeous dessert display, lemon slices and specs of green were placed on their wedding cake design, thanks to Tasty Bakery, who knew just how to make the dessert fit the theme. About the Couple
Angela and Paul met at a party at Penn State in May 2015. They exchanged numbers and officially started dating in November 2015.
After six wonderful years of great memories and accomplishments, Paul proposed to Angela on April 17, 2021. They had planned to go on a hike at Mount Nittany in State College and have a picnic at the top of the mountain. Angela and Paul hike frequently with champagne and charcuterie, so she didn’t think much of it. But this time around, Paul proposed to Angela on the overlook!
About the Wedding
This wedding was Amalfi Coast inspired. Angela and Paul are both Italian, so they wanted to have a hint of their heritage on their big day. They incorporated Italian blue tile in their wedding invitations and guest table centerpiece vases. Blues, whites, and greens with hints of lemon made this August wedding feel fresh and light.
