When you’re a engaged lady, it helps to have a friend who is a wedding planner. You’ll likely get a perfectly styled bridal shower, just like the one Shayne threw for Aimee. An internship parlayed into a dear friendship between these two women, and Shayne (of Soiree by Souleret fame and a Burgh Brides Vendor Guide member) was all too happy to plan a fete in Aimee’s honor. Dave, the groom in this story, is a chef; his career served as Shayne’s inspiration for the event that embraced freshness and antique flair. With a little help from Pisarcik Flowers, Found + Made, All Occasions (another Vendor Guide member!), and Gaby et Jules, Shayne combined gorgeous green and white florals, eclectic decor, delectable treats, and vintage china to create a fresh ambiance with throwback nods. A lounge area, cocktail marquee sign, crystal and gold pineapples, and handwritten place cards added warm, welcoming touches. Aimee toasted to her new marriage with six of her gal pals and All Heart Photo & Video (yet another Vendor Guide member!!) was on hand to capture every last toast, hug, and belly laugh.
If Shayne had anything to do with Aimee and Dave’s wedding this past September, I’m sure it was just as beautiful. High fives for sophisticated, styled, cozy gatherings that give a whole new meaning to the word “bridal shower”!
From the event designer…
When I heard Aimee’s amazing news, I couldn’t help but offer to throw her a shower. Aimee and I met almost six years ago at an internship. She was my constant work companion, and my shoulder to cry on and daily lifeline when I lost my best friend.
Aimee’s future husband’s career inspired me to create a shower fit for a foodie and a chef’s wife-to-be! I dreamed up an event in a charming setting where a farm table full of antique accents would take center stage. Found + Made provided the perfect backdrop and event props! Tulpe Flower Studio at Pisarcik Greenhouse enhanced the theme by placing tomatoes, green beans, and other vegetables into arrangements. As a node to a personal joke between Aimee and her best friend, we accented with gold-painted pineapples and crystal pineapple name card holders. Aimee’s talented friend, Caitlin, made all of the delicious food. It was a lovely day to celebrate such a beautiful woman and friend!
