Now that you’ve got your Something Old, New, and Borrowed, it’s time to wrap this series up with Something Blue! This token is supposed to represent love, purity, and fidelity. Personally, I think this is the easiest of the four traditions to incorporate into your wedding day because there are countless great ideas. Here are my top ten!

.) We all remember Carrie Bradshaw’s iconic, blue satin Manolo Blahniks. Serious shoe envy. For her something blue, Burgh Bride Chelsea opted for a lighter hue for her walk down the aisle.

.) Long gone are the days of fake, french manicured brides (thank goodness). Natural lengths and even color are totally ok for your wedding day! Paint the palest shade on your hands, like Essie’s Find Me An Oasis, or opt for a bright pop of Avenue Maintain to accent your ring finger.
.) If it is one of your wedding colors, add blue flowers to your bridal bouquet. Think hydrangeas, thistle, or delphinium. The key is to chose the few flowers that are naturally blue. Whatever you do, stay away from the dyed or tinted stuff! Yuck!!! If none of these suit your fancy or you want to stick with a traditional white bouquet, wrap a blue ribbon around your flowers instead.
.) Serve up a signature drink and call it Something Blue like Nicolet and Greg did. If you want the color of your beverage to be true to its name, look for a recipe that calls for blue curacao. Otherwise, go for something like a blueberry mojito.

.) Ask your seamstress to sew your wedding date or a heart into your slip or the underside of your dress, using blue thread of course!
.) Speaking of under your dress, Victoria’s Secret has some cheeky blue underthings. Maybe save clicking on that link for later. I gotta keep this post SFW 😉
.) When Heather was getting beautified on her big day, she wore the cutest white-with-navy-trim pajama set. If you prefer a robe, Love Ophelia’s Serendipity comes in the prettiest shade of robin’s egg blue.

.) Make like Kate Middleton and get yourself some sapphires. Even the tiniest version of this gemstone gives off the richest shade of blue. Look for them in earrings or a bracelet!
.) Really want to incorporate blue into your wedding day? Dress your maids in it! From icy blue to blue gray to serenity to cobalt and even navy, your ladies will look divine in a bridesmaids dress in any one of these shades.
.) A light blue garter, like this one from Hanky Panky, allows you to wear the color in a very subtle way while still partaking in the tradition.
