About Burgh Brides - A Pittsburgh Wedding Blog

Hi! I’m Victoria.

Get to know me in 150 characters or less:

When in doubt, add glitter. Everything in moderation, except TV, cupcakes, and fresh office supplies. Weddings. Lots and lots of weddings.

If that piqued your interest, keep on reading for the details.

My childhood fascination with weddings has withstood the test of time. Just ask my little sister and younger cousin. They belted out “Here Comes the Bride,” while I donned my great grandmother’s old dress and glided down the hall-turned-aisle. Many years later, I glided across a stage to accept my Neuroscience bachelor’s degree. Then, I promptly informed my parents that I wanted to become an event planner.

You can probably imagine their reactions, but I’ve been in the wedding and event industry in one way or another ever since. I even started my own wedding planning company, before I realized that my ultimate passion was in sharing ideas and writing. Burgh Brides is the long-envisioned marriage of those two interests. In September 2017, I became a full-time blogger, and it’s the best. job. ever. I’m a published Huffington Post author and have contributed to numerous articles and blog posts by Pittsburgh MagazineRetail Me Not, Honeybook, and several other wedding and industry websites.

As if that career love story isn’t magical enough, I’ve also managed to find two great loves in my personal life. I replaced teddy bear grooms with my very real, totally not imaginary husband Justin. He’s a handsome tech wiz and a wannabe pro mountain biker. Together, we get dragged all over Pittsburgh by our hulking, 180-pound beast of a dog, Kane.
