Your wedding day is just one chapter in your own life-long love story. But it's a chapter that deserves to be reread over and over again. The ladies behind Post Script Films make this very thing possible. With their unique story-telling approach to cinematography, Post Script allows you to relive every magical moment of your special day. They prefer to blend in to the background, capturing the day exactly as it unfolds, without direction or influence. Raw emotions, natural movements, and unscripted words are pieced together to tell the unique story of your wedding and your love. Set it to the tune of a romantic song chosen especially for you and you've got yourself a wedding film that will tug on your heart strings in a way that nothing else can. These talented ladies are your source for an everlasting keepsake that will allow you to revisit this happy chapter of your life again and again!

Tell me a little bit about your business!
We are a team of passionate, creative storytellers. Our mission is to produce engaging films that move hearts and minds. We have been in business for over five years and have our studio in the South Side! This is our full time gig and we currently have a handful of team members working with us!
What makes your work unique? Why should brides and grooms hire you?
As wedding and event filmmakers, we are passionate about capturing all of the special moments between family and friends. We know that we are invited to capture what goes on, not to stage or direct. It is very important to us to remain unobtrusive. One of our favorite compliments is, “I didn't even realize you were there!”
What is your ideal client like?
Our ideal client is a couple that is more excited to plan their marriage than their wedding (although the wedding can be super fun to plan!). We love when couples already know and appreciate how a film can make them feel. Our favorite couples plan their wedding on purpose – not because they have to have a big party, but because they want to celebrate their love with all of the people that matter to them the most.
What is your favorite part of the wedding day to capture?
My favorite part is definitely the first dance! It's such an intimate, joyful, and sometimes emotional part of the day – a chance when the couple can feel somewhat alone, even though they are in front of everyone.
What is your approach to cinematography?
Our approach to cinematography is creative and unobtrusive. We have high definition, cinema-style cameras and a variety of lens. We use wireless lavalier microphones and a variety of other equipment to help us capture the right angle and right motion.
What techniques do you use to help clients feel comfortable with you and in front of the camera?
We always remind clients to ignore us and be themselves! We are not part of the wedding day…we're just there to capture it. If possible, we like to meet with all of our couples before the wedding so that we can all get to know each other.
What is your approach to editing? What is the typical turn-around time for a film?
We like to blend the natural, live audio of the day and the beautiful footage we capture with romantic and cinematic royalty-free music. We aim to create films that our clients want to show their family and friends and that they want to watch over and over again. Typically, the turn-around time for our wedding films is 3 – 4 months but it does depend on the time of year.
